Roadmap

What works today, and what comes next.

We label every feature honestly. If it says Available, you can use it now on broker demo accounts. Everything else is not ready yet, and we do not promise dates.

Available21
Use it today with broker demo accounts.
MetaTrader 5 connectorMT5 demo accounts at your broker, found by server name or installer link.
Platform stepPick a platform before you deploy. Install and create downloads the platform, then creates the deployment.
Signed image catalogDeploy MT5 terminals from a signed catalog. The latest version downloads to your server on request.
Server provisioningAdd an Ubuntu 24.04 server from the dashboard over SSH. Nile installs Docker and the agent and generates the host policy, with options for trading, risk mode and remembered credentials.
Get started guidesStep-by-step journeys in the dashboard, from your first server to your first deployment.
Fleet AgentSigned commands over outbound mTLS. It reports server and terminal health, and never restarts a stalled terminal blindly.
Restart after a rebootOn by default for new deployments, so terminals come back after a server reboot. Not yet tested on a real reboot.
Monitoring and alertsHost, container, terminal, bridge and broker health, with alerts for offline servers, crashed terminals, broker disconnects and failed switches.
NotificationsAlerts sent to Telegram, Slack, email and signed webhooks by a separate notifier process.
Universal Trading APIMT5 demo accounts: market, limit, stop and stop-limit orders, with good-till-cancelled, day and good-till-date expiry. Modify and cancel pending orders. Positions, quotes, bars, history, routes and tokens. API reference.
Orders tabPositions, pending orders and recent orders for each account in the dashboard.
Risk rules engine12 risk metrics enforced on your server, next to the terminal. Closing a position always works. Risk rules guide.
Time rules and news windowsTrading hours, market close and news windows from MT5’s economic calendar. Rules can close positions and cancel pending orders before the close or the news. Being verified on real MT5.
Emergency stopHalt trading from the dashboard or the API. Halt-all can also cancel pending orders.
Failover to a standby serverChoose and arm a standby, switch by hand or automatically, and fall back if a switch fails.
Credential deliveryEncrypted per start, sealed to the agent on your server, never stored.
Remembered credentialsOpt in to keep a broker password split between nile-vault on your server and the control plane. Add server can install the vault for you, and failover copies credentials to the standby.
Host firewallOnly your registered servers can reach the agent gateway.
Single sign-on and audit logPassword sign-in or bundled Keycloak single sign-on, permission bundles with scoped grants, and every privileged action recorded.
Installer, backup and restoreDocker Compose install with automatic HTTPS, backup and restore. Install guide.
Ephemeral sessionsShort-lived environments with verified cleanup.
In progress7
Partly built. Not usable end to end yet.
Faster order dispatchOrders go to the terminal at once instead of waiting for the next one-second cycle. No API change.
Windows serversThe agent and watchdog already run as Windows services. The MT5 runtime and full server setup on Windows come next.
Remote screen accessView a terminal’s screen from your browser over VNC. Design in review.
In-browser demoThe dashboard on a sample organisation that runs entirely in your browser, no sign-up.
Customer EA deploymentDeploy your own Expert Advisors to your terminals.
LicensingSigned licences are built. There is no production licence key or licence page in the dashboard yet.
Production release keySigning is built. Until the key is published, every bundle is a development build.
Designed2
Design approved or under review. Not built yet.
DirectConnect: coming nextAn opt-in low-latency order path over a TLS WebSocket, with full risk checks, for demo accounts. If a server is down it routes to a healthy standby. Early benchmark: about 200 to 230 ms end to end on a broker demo server, mostly broker time. Not a guarantee.
Automatic image approvalApprove runtime images from signed releases. Design still under review.
Planned9
On our list. Tell us if you need it.
Upgrades, rollback and uninstallIn place, plus a native install mode. Today the installer does fresh Docker Compose installs.
Partial close and streamingPartial close, changing stop loss and take profit on an open position, a quote stream and history backfill in the Trading API.
Python client: coming soonAn official PerkBridge Python library for the Trading API. Until then, see the Python examples.
More connectorscTrader first; it already appears in the catalog as coming soon. Not scheduled yet. Ask for a connector.
User management and two-factor sign-inManage users from the dashboard and sign in with a second factor. Today users are created from the admin command line.
Independent security auditNot done yet. Needed before live accounts.
Live accountsNot supported. Demo accounts only for now.
Private sandboxesYour own instance, approved by hand. Request early access.
Under considerationNinjaTrader, DXtrade, crypto exchanges such as Binance and Bybit, MetaTrader 4, a connector SDK, managed hosting and white label for brokers. Not on the roadmap yet; tell us if you need them.

DirectConnect design settledTrading
We settled the open design questions for DirectConnect, an opt-in low-latency order path for demo accounts. Early benchmark: about 200 to 230 ms end to end on a broker demo server, mostly broker time. No code has shipped yet.
